What a wonderful weekend we get to enjoy. My favorite holiday, Christmas.
Many families carry on the tradition of reading the Christmas story from the Bible -- and in that light, I thought I would post a couple of nativity shots.
Safe journeys to those who are traveling, and may love bless you this holiday weekend!

Winter Wedding
The best Saturdays are those I get to spend with brides on their wedding day.
This couple was absolutely adorable. They held their wedding at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in American Fork, Utah, and then had a lovely reception closeby. (I admit, as a photographer in Utah -- where most people tend to use the church gymnasium as their venue -- it's nice to be in an actual reception hall once in a while.)
Many congratulations to this charming couple!

Christmas Bling
I confess -- I love a good sparklie! And one of the best parts of Christmas for me is all the fun "bling"! Especially when I whip out the star filter and each light on the tree becomes a bright shiny star.
Here are a few of my favorites over the years.

And for the ULTIMATE bling...

San Francisco City Hall
Last week, I traveled out to San Francisco. I try and do something new every time I'm there. This time, it was City Hall. What a beautiful ceiling! I'd love to take a bride there someday.

Christmas Bits and Baubles
This weekend, while visiting a friend, I got to help her decorate her Christmas tree. It's always one of my favorite holiday activities. Bring on the ornaments!

On Santa's Naughty List...
I wear this pin every year. The minute the holiday season opens, the pin comes out and is proudly worn, along with the hat.
True confession: I do love Christmas. :-)

The Rose Window
One of my favorite aspects of a gothic cathedral is the incredible rose windows you can find. The shapes in these stained glass marvels can be truly fantastic.
This has long been a favorite window, in one of my favorite cathedrals -- the National Cathedral in Washington, DC.
It was also, as it happens, one of my first pitiful attempts at an HDR.

Ballroom Concert Preview...Long Overdue!
So, DanceSport was exciting as always. Lots of photos have gone up, and more are still to come.
But to my patient dancers, who always delight and entertain...I realize I have been hopeless with Concert photos this year. Shame on me. I realize floggings are in order here. Still, I thought I might offer a little taste with a few of my favorites from "Imagine." More to come!
