In just a couple of weeks, I have the honor of being a bridesmaid for a very dear friend. A few months ago, I got to witness the actual proposal. Through a variety of sneaky conspiracies on various sides, I went to Gloria's restaurant in Provo and was quickly and quietly seated at a tiny table tucked in a corner with a perfect view of the soon-to-be-engaged couple. I did my best to crouch into insignificance and hide my face behind a hat and a book, tucking my camera into my lap so it could be whipped out at a moment's notice. When he got down on one knee, I abandoned all pretense, jumped up, and started clicking.
It's really such a fun thing to be able to share in moments like this. Candlelight, romantic serenades (the accordion player was singing "Bella Notte"), and a fantastic couple. Romantic sighs all around.

Candids of Evan
Boy: n A noise with dirt on it.
I'm visiting a dear friend of mine for a couple of weeks in Northern California. She's got two cute boys and I think they're awesome. But boy, can they get filthy faster than anything! :-) Evan, the older of the two, spent some mighty fun outside-time playing in the dirt, drawing with chalk, and then topping it all off with some water balloon tossing. I couldn't resist catching a few shots. It's the epitome of boyhood.
